The Keith Corporation is nearing completion of the Kings Mountain Corporate Center, the nearly 1.3 million-square-foot industrial building off Canterbury Road and adjacent to Interstate 85 in Kings Mountain.  The 1,256,278 SF Spec Building is available for lease starting in June 2023.

The massive building is being billed by The Keith Corp. as the "largest speculative industrial facility under construction on the East Coast." It includes 36-foot clear heights and 120 active dock positions, with the potential to expand to 250 dock positions. It will also include around 350 auto parking spaces and 248 trailer parking spaces, with the potential to expand both. Choate Construction has handled construction efforts for the project and Merriman Schmitt Architects lead the design. Matthews Land Company's partners at the Keith Corp., Justin C. Curis and R. Alan Lewis, are handling leasing efforts for Kings Mountain Corporate Center.

Companies nearby include Hanes Brands, Bay Valley Foods, XPO Logistics, Utz. The facility has all utilities including water, sewer, gas and electricity with a flat to gently rolling topography. Charlotte Douglas International Airport is only 26 miles east via I-85.

Gaston County currently has 12 other industrial spec buildings under construction or planned in the near future totaling over 4 million square feet and starting as small as 143,000 SF.
