Following its public announcement late last month, top officials from food manufacturer Häns Kissle will join North Carolina Chief Deputy Commerce Secretary Jordan Whichard, Gaston County Board of Commissioners Chairman Chad Brown and numerous other local dignitaries at the groundbreaking in the Apple Creek Corporate Center.

The event is set for 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 9th. The event is open to credentialed members of the media.

Häns Kissle is the fourth company to announce its intentions to build in the Apple Creek Corporate Center, which is located just minutes from U.S. 321 in the heart of Gaston County. The company is proposing to create 219 new jobs with an investment of more than $42 million.

In addition to Whichard and Brown, Häns Kissle CEO Scott Moffitt and Gastonia Ward 5 Councilwoman Jennifer Stepp are also expected to offer remarks at Thursday’s event.
