Gaston County Grant & Incentives Programs

The Gaston County Investment Grant Program allows eligible companies to receive a portion of their property taxes back in the form of a grant.

The Cities of Gastonia, Bessemer City, Belmont and Cherryville, and the Towns of Dallas and Stanley offer the same industrial grant program. In addition, the City of Kings Mountain offers a separate investment grant program.

North Carolina Incentives And Grant Programs Available

• Credits for Growing Businesses (Article 3J Credits) which includes credit for creating jobs and investing in business property against state income or franchise tax. Gaston County is a Tier 2. The jobs threshold is 10 with a $5,000 credit per job. The investment in business property threshold is $1,000,000 and the credit percentage is 5%.

• Job Development Investment Grant Program (JDIG)

• Research and Development Tax Credit (Article 3F Tax Credits)
